Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree Oil with its antiseptic action is thought to be a hundred time more powerful than carbolic acid and yet is non-poisonous to humans! Tea tree's impressive antiviral, antibacterial, and anti fungal properties make it useful in a wide range of conditions. Tea Tree can be used to treat candida, and all sorts of infections, ringworm, sunburn, acne, athlete's foot, toothache, and pyorrhea, among other things. It is among the oils in a basic car kit. Other oils that can be added this kit are; Lavender, peppermint, chamomile, geranium rosemary, thyme, lemon, and clove. In the upcoming months we will explore each of these wonderful oils and how to use them. So please come back and explore with me.

For athlete's foot I would use on my family;

5 drops of tea tree oil

1 drop of lemon

dilute in a carrier oil

pour on a cotton ball and smear it between the toes and nail area.

If I didn't have lemon oil I would use 2 drops tea tree oil, 1 drop of lavender oil and apply the same way.

Carrier oils that can be use are;

Sweet Almond

Apricot Kernel

Fractionated coconut

Grape seed

Hemp seed

Rose Hip

Just make sure your oil is cold pressed and organic, they will be more expensive but no chemicals will have been added or used in the processing. Avoid using mineral and animal based oils as carrier oils.
