Peppermint is one of my favorite oils. It is known for its health-promoting properties, anti- inflammatory and antiseptic properties. These qualities make it a good oil in the treatment of indigestion, flatulence, bad breath, flue, catarrh, varicose, veins, headaches and migraines, skin irritation, rheumatism, toothache and fatigue.
Peppermint is also known to bring joy and buoyancy to the heart and soul. Peppermint oil invigorates the body, mind and spirit and reminds us that life can be happy and there is nothing to fear. Peppermint oil can help a person with unbearable pain, intense depression, heaviness, pessimistic, and muddled. But a person can also abuse the properties of Peppermint oil if they are using it has a permanent escape to avoid dealing with emotional pain.
The power of Peppermint oil can help an individual that is disheartened re-discover joy and happiness again. Wonderful companions to Peppermint oil are: Orange, Tangerine, Lime, Rose and Cypress.
If a person has an upset stomach a tea can be made by adding 1-2 drops of peppermint oil to 1 cup of extra warm water.
For a headache, place one drop of oil on the area that is in distress. The peppermint oil will be strong so use a carrier oil.
